  • Notes
    • Checked Ancestry’s 1861 England Census for Isab* Barrow, b. 1842–1846, anywhere in England: none born in Westminster. Searched Oct 2026.
    • Checked for the 1861 census (Oct 2026): Ancestry, Isab* with Barrow, Barrows, Borrow*, Burrow*, Barron, Barra* and Ba*ow, born 1839–1849, and sounds-alike; Isab* B* born in Westminster about 1844; Isab* Bar* born about 1844 in London, Middlesex, Surrey, Kent and Essex; Fran* Barrow born about 1844. Not found. Ruled out: Isabella Bone, Mount Street (RG9/43 f.105 p.4). Not adopted: Isabella A Bary, 16, servant, 11 Hanover Street, Long Acre (RG9/59 f.46 p.35). Findmypast and FamilySearch (which share one transcription), Oct 2026: Isab*/Bella/Fran* with Barrow, Bar*, B* (Middlesex-born), *rrow* and *ow; all Barrows born in Middlesex or Westminster; every Westminster-born Isabella aged 15–19 in the first 300 FamilySearch results. Not found; no Barrow of any age born in Westminster appears in either index, so the whole family (mother Mary, Mary, Alfred) is probably mis-transcribed or missed. Rejected: Isabella Esse/Essex, 18, servant, Victoria Terrace, Kensington (RG9/14 f.46 p.24). Next: browse RG9 images for St John the Evangelist, Westminster, around Upper Chapter Street.
